Sunriver Resort has unlimited recreational activities all year long for the whole family. From riding the rapids to flying high above the Cascades, things never slow down here. For kids and teenagers, Fort Funnigan, Guided Adventures and Teen Time Programs provide a variety of fun activities fit for each age group.

Sage Springs Club & Spa

Whether it's a day of finger-painting, video games or superhero moves on the indoor climbing wall, Sunriver Resort has created the perfect environment for children ages 3 to 10. Kids have the run of the Fort — and Resort — with a 3400 square-foot fenced play yard and programs that include field trips to the Stables, Marina, Fish Hatchery and Nature Center. There are also plenty of pursuits perfect for the great indoors, courtesy of our 42-inch flat-screen TV, DVD player system and computer station.

Ft. Funnigan Registration Policy
The Fort Funnigan building is located next to the Sunriver Resort Bike Barn. Programs are subject to cancellation if no prior reservations are received. Cancellations for reservations must be made 24 hours prior to the start of the registered program or full program fee will be charged.

Sunriver’s Sage Spring Club and Spa offers an indoor facility, including three tennis courts and state of the art conditioning center. Or play under the sun on four outdoor courts and use of an additional twenty-seven outdoor courts.

The Sunriver Stables offers a wide range of equestrian experiences including: pony rides, half-hour to 8-hour trail rides, lessons, hay wagon rides, sleigh rides and merchandise. Reservations required for all trail rides. Pony rides are given on a first come first served basis.

Guided Rides

- There is a set schedule for horseback rides throughout the day

Pony Ride
Cost: $10.00/child
- Ages 2–6
- 3 time loop around Pony Town/Ring

Experience the scenic Deschutes River at your own pace on a canoe, kayak or raft float trip from Sunriver Resort's Marina. The River takes you north on calm waters with a shuttle pick-up at Benham Butte (about 2 hours/6 miles).

Canoe Float
- Ages 6+ with swimming ability
- 2 paddlers + 2 passengers
- 6 miles, approximately 2 hours
- Resort owns approximately 200 canoes
Included: Boat, Paddles, Lifejackets, and transportation back to Marina

Kayaks – Single and Doubles
- Ages 6+ with swimming ability
- 1 kayaker in single kayakers, 2 kayakers in double kayaks
- 6 miles, approximately 2 hours
Note: Resort owns approximately 40-50 single and double kayaks

Rafts – Non-commercial (5 passengers to a raft)
- Ages 6+ with swimming ability
- 6 miles, approximately 2 hours
Note: Resort owns approximately 25-40 rafts

Fishing - Pole Package Rental (Use on property on the Deschutes)
- License $TBD (under 12 no license required, 12 and up license required)

Fishing - Casting Clinic – 1-1/2 hr. instruction, Dry Land
- Ages 8+
- Presently offered Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings 6:00 pm–7:30 pm

It’s all downhill on this marvelous adventure. During the length of the trip you will descend 2,500 vertical feet on your commercial mountain bike. This translates into 4 1-1/2 mile segments to each waterfall stop. This trip visits 6 waterfalls ranging in height from 10 to 40 feet, as well as visiting 2 safe natural waterslides (so wear clothing that can get wet.) Your guides will also fill you in on the local history, geology and archeology that makes this area unique. When the group arrives at the waterfalls below, you will participate in the traditional “Paulina Plunge” before breaking for a deli lunch. The days ride ends with one last waterfall for a shower and cold soda.

Bike Ride

- 7 hours (25 min shuttle ride to start area, 15 min return shuttle)
- Daily Rides – 10:00 am–5:00 pm, or 9:00 am–4:00 pm
